What Type Of Flowers Are Goo For A Wedding?
My colors are red and white. I don’t really want roses but it is going to be a semi-formal wedding for all. It’s not that I don’t like roses, I just kind of want to do something different. So, any suggestions on red flowers that will look good in a boquet and center pieces?
Red and white lilies would look great. i included a picture so you could get an idea of the look you might want. congrads.http://images.google.com/imgres?imgurl=h…

November 15, 2009 12:19 pm | #5How about red carnations and white spider mums, they are lovely together and compliment each other in a bouquet. Scatter baby’s breath and green fern to hold it all together. It should be lovely. Congratulations and have a great time on your big day.

November 15, 2009 2:48 pm | #12I had lilies and roses. and it turned out beautiful. I didn’t want roses either, but once I saw a bouquet of lilies and roses my heart was set. My friend had calalilies and my cousin had daisies. It just depends on what you like. It’s your wedding. Do what you want with it.

I was like you and did not want roses because I thought since the girls dresses were red they would carry white and I would carry red. But then I found this website (silkspecialites.com) that sells silk flower bouquets. They sent me some samples and I played around with them. I ended up picking a burgundy, mauve, and ivory. I was a little nervous about the difference in color between the dresses and flowers but they turned out beautiful. I got so many compliments. Nobody knew they were silk and I didn’t have to worry about them dying in the heat. I now have some of the bouquets in vases on my mantel. Its a nice memory!
