Anyone have some good ideas for party favors at a beach wedding? Its a small wedding. So I would like to keep it simple.

My fiance and I have been toying around with the idea of a very sophisticated, romantic vampire theme to our wedding and reception. We really like the idea of having our wedding at the Paris hotel in Vegas (mainly for the location), and are just thinking of ideas for decoration, flowers, etc.

I’m probably going to wear a white dress still, with the bridesmaids wearing something in the blood reds color zone. I don’t really want a Victorian theme, which is a lot of what I’ve been seeing. I’m kind of thinking along the lines of a new age vampire theme, if that makes sense? Dark red roses with the tips dyed in black, dark red swashes and ribbons for the wedding, stuff like that…I just want some visuals to get an idea for it. Thanks!

I am getting married in February 2010 in Atlanta. I am fairly new to the area. Does anyone know of any chapels or places where we could get married (aside from the courthouse It will only be myself and the groom but we still want something memorable. Thanks in advance for any ideas!

websites for help in wedding planning

I have toyed around and around with a million ideas for what to do for the centerpieces for our wedding tables and I just cannot find one I really like. I want to keep the pirce down around $40 or so a table or less if possible, and possibly I would like to incorporate candles some how, but I am really open to any ideas right now, or pictures of what you or something people did or anything. We are having our wedding on the beach and then moving it indoors for the reception at the country. So something with shells or floting candles or sand or something!!!! Anything would help, also ideas of what NOT to do or didn’t work out well would be great! Thanks!

We are getting married in June on board a ship in Juneau Alaska. I would like to give those coming along something special and appropriate to our destination. Also we are having a backyard reception when we get home. There will be 300+ guests. I would like to somehow tie together our wedding with our reception (we are early in the planning process). Also the background at the wedding will be an icy blue. Wha colors would correspond? Help!

I want to have a rose/night themed wedding. The colors are red, black, and white. Any ideas that would also be inexpensive but memorable? (Serious please)

My fiance and I were talking and we’ve decided we’d like to have a casual wedding where everyone wears their best clothes. I would get a nice pair or dress slacks and a nice sweater and he would get a nice pair of slacks and dress shirt or a suit. If he gets a suit he’ll get one from Goodwill. I’ll have my bridesmaids wear either black dresses or black slacks and a black sweater (their choice) and they can wear one from their closet so that they are comfortable. The groomsmen can wear their best slacks and button up shirt with a black tie (we’ll buy the ties). We’ll do pretty bouquets and bouts and in colors of red, brown, and orange with accent colors of gold and green. We’ll invite around 60 people to our wedding with some simple invitations and have something like a Thanksgiving feast. What’s your take on this? How would you feel if you were a guest at this wedding? What other ideas can you give me?

And no, I do not want to get an informal wedding dress. There is no point in spending that much money on a dress I will only wear once.
I’m not going to wear white as it is not at all my style. I’d get it messy somehow.

And my fiance says that he doesn’t mind. We talked about the practicality of me getting a wedding dress and we both agree that we would rather put the money towards something else.

We don’t have a specific theme. We HATE beachy, shells, luau, etc… We were thinking torches (not Tiki) and maybe having a raised platform for us to sit on, but after that I’m stuck. We are not traditional, but do not want tacky!!! Ceremony will be in a local Park and then we want to have a huge party/reception outdoors, maybe on a family friend’s land so we can stick stuff in the ground etc.
