The outdoor wedding reception: Any tips, suggestions, ideas, horror stories, success stories etc?

I am STILL throwing around ideas for my wedding reception (our families range from being fairly elegant to super casual, which can make it difficult), but I am thinking of sort of an outdoor, picnic/BBQ in a park near a river. Very picturesque. Still, I am worried about cakes melting, bugs, decor, weather, you know the usual. Any tips, suggestions, ideas, horror stories of outdoor weddings, or success stories of outdoor weddings (mostly receptions) that you have heard of?

Finding Worthwhile Wedding Tips Is Easy If You Trust Your Instincts

Nearly every bride to be has more advice from friends and family than they know what to do with. But if you want to find ideas that fit your own sense of style, look around the various websites for weddings and let your own heart be your guide. Making your day match your dreams takes planning and attention to detail, and there are so many things to consider let alone decide upon that it’s very helpful to have a way to keep it all organized.

In days gone by, brides had wedding planner books that served as both organizers and inspiration. These days the planners are mostly online but there are so many of them that simply picking where to start can seem overwhelming. A great way to get started on picking a wedding site as a reference resource is to make yourself a cup of tea, set aside a half an hour, and do an internet search for “online wedding planner”.

You’ll get a great many results, but just start by clicking on one that seems good and notice your response when the site comes up. If it’s positive, then bookmark the site and hit your browser back button. If you’re not feeling anything or find the site off-putting then simply hit your browser back button and go on to another site. Keep doing this until you have 10 bookmarked sites. This process is fairly fast, so don’t worry if you’ve got all 10 quickly.

Once you’ve found 10 sites that you like, take one minute to look at each. Notice if you need to register to use the site, if it stores information for you, and if it has the options that you like. Check and see if it’s just pretty and you like the colors but the content does not match what you’d like a site to provide. By the time you’ve gone through all 10 you’ll have a great idea of what sites for wedding tips and planning have to offer on the whole, and what you need specifically.

Number the sites from 1 to 10, with 10 being best. Once you’ve got them numbered, picking a wedding tips and planning site will be a matter of just looking at a few different options and picking whichever site will make preparing for your day more joyful and effortless.

Some Tips for Growing Bonsai Flower

If you like the look of tiny flowers on your bonsai, then choose ideal flowering trees to nurture into miniature versions of their species. Here are a few of the best choices for flowering bonsai:

Mt. Fuji Serissa Mt. Fuji Serissa is noted for its brilliant white colorings on the outer edges of its leaves. It also blooms a single white flower in summer.

Proper care: likes lots of warmth and sun so place in an appropriate spot. Wait for the soil to dry before watering and take care to keep away from frost.

Okinawa Holly This tree has tiny pink flowers that bloom during the spring and summer. The leaves are glossy, deep green with serrated edges. It’s unique, hardy and easy to care for.

Proper care: this plant is tough, but it grows best in temperatures between 60 and 85 degrees. Let the soil dry completely between waterings, but take care not to dehydrate as this will stress the plant. For maintenance, spray mist everyday from spring to fall and at least twice daily during the winter months. Fertilize during early spring or mid fall twice a month.

Flowering Quince This tree comes from Asian countries like Japan, China and Korea and has a beautiful display of white and red flowers on bare branches. One of the world’s favorite flowering bonsai, the flowering quince has great adaptability. The leaves have fine, tiny teeth and flowers grow in tight clusters. One of the best features of this plant is that it produces fragrant green and yellow fruits.

Proper care: it may be tough, but if you want the best care, give the flowering quince a lot of sunlight and soil that is well-drained between waterings. Don’t place this plant in a humid environment and use rich, healthy soil. Don’t overwater and cut a few of the older branches yearly to promote bushy growth.

Lavender Star Flower This is an evergreen tree that grows native to Africa and Australia. There are about 400 species of this tree all over the world. The Lavender Star Flower is taller than most flowering bonsai and can reach 10 inches in maturity. Its flower is its best feature, since the color is a beautiful lavender.

Proper care: this tree needs lots of direct sunlight, so try to expose it during the early mornings and keep it near the window where it can soak up more light. Keep the soil moist but not wet. For optimum health, mix one part sand and two parts peat moss. Use slightly acidic fertilizer about thrice a year and sprinkle with iron supplement yearly.
