I’m confused. So a wedding theme can be from a beach/Hawaiian theme to a stripes theme to a Hello Kitty theme right? And a wedding theme can be like a phrase that my fiance and I want; for example could we “invent” a theme? As if we wanted “Always and Forever” and add decorations like two hearts, an infinite symbol, etc….is that considered a theme?
What is an ideal theme for a wedding?

I realize it’s my wedding and I can’t practically do anything I want but would butterflies be a normal theme for a wedding or does it mean more like a beach theme or fairytale theme. Because I think I confused myself.
With these ideas that I have, what would you say our “theme” for our wedding is?

People keep asking what our “theme” is and what our colors are. I don’t know what to tell them. Given these details..what would you say?
Spring Wedding, early afternoon ceremony and reception, semi casual, outside in a garden or park. We are using the landscape of the park or garden as our eye candy…so we will be doing little decorating ourselves. Simple decor. All white tables with white linens, white chairs, white place setting. I want to grow our own flowers in my garden.
The day of the wedding, pick the flowers and put them in glass vases and jars with water. These will be the centerpieces for the reception. Every table may have different color flowers- yellow flowers, red, pink, orange, red, purple…whatever grows from my garden. The cake will be white with flowers cascading down..but haven’t made a decision what color the flowers on the cake will be.
Appetizerers served (not a full meal), cake, punch.
so what should i tell people when they ask about the theme and color scheme? thanks

Hi everyone! Well, we have a Hawaiian Luau themed wedding coming up with live band, dancers, BBQ and all… but the band will not be playing during dinner which is about 45min long before the Luau starts. So we just thought we would burn a CD of songs for it. We want song types such as “Kokomo” by The Beach Boys, “Somewhere Over The Rainbow” by Israel Kamakawi, “When The Sun Goes Down” by Kenny Chesney… and so on. We are having the toughest time finding enough music. Any beach sounding, reggae, ukulele, popular hawaiian types songs. Please don’t just say Bob Marley or anything. I need specific song titles. I am only 24, so these type of songs are not my expertise!
