What does your dream wedding cake look like? Or if you’re already married, what did yours look like?
Ours is going to be similar to this one, except it will be pearled and the flowers will be yellow, red, and light orange roses.

My theme is Chocolate, my colors so far are a dark espresso brown, Ivory, and Tan. Like the colors of chocolate. I’m having a hard time finding flowers to go with my theme. I was hoping to find a dark brown accent flower, with maybe some ivory calililys, or even hydrangia. Since I’m having such a hard time, I’ve been thiking of adding a little bit of color to the whole scheme, but that would totally defeat the whole chocolate idea, unless I did like a minty green or a sage. I’m completely stuck. Any ideas?

but having black table cloths with red rose petals and candles on the table we are trying to keep everything as cheap as possible but is it too cheap looking?

My colors are ivory and apple red. My bridesmaids dresses are red. I want them to carry some kind of ivory flowers with a red ribbon wrapped around the stem, so that you don’t see the stem at all. My dress is ivory, I want to carry red flowers with an ivory ribbon wrapped around the stem? Would this even look good? What kind of flowers are these colors? Any suggestions or web sites are much appreciated.

I am planning on an October 2nd wedding. I have no idea what color/kind of flowers to use for the bouquets. We are getting married in an old country church and plan on keeping the church plain (no extra flowers because we are on a strict budget). I want to keep it nice and simple. Any suggestions?

I’m in a wedding soon and we’re allowed to choose our own dresses. The only guideline is the color; black. The fabric should be cotton or at least look like it. What I’m saying is no shiny fabrics. More matte. Anyway, I’ve looked all over and I found some I kind of like but none I want. I’m 15, so something sweet and casual (the weddings on the beach) but I also want something unique and fun! Thanks for any help on where to look that someone wouldn’t necessarily know about

I am getting married in august and I would like to make my own arrangements with silk flowers and I need some idea’s. It is a long way off but I would like to start looking.
Are there any cheap flowers at nurserys that smell good and look good?

My house has shade, partial sun, and few areas with full sun. My preferance would be shade or partial sun. Full suns are usually more expensive but if you know of any chap good ones that won’t spread out to much do to the lack of that much sun, I would love to hear about that. Preannuals are the best but at the right price annuals are okay too. We live in northern New Jersey so the dirt is very fertile and good for growing. I don’t want the flowers to sprout everywhere, just some places needing color. The weather up here is very awkward so please consider that. If I can’t buy it in a nursury could you send me a website that I can order from, the flowers themselves or seeds. I don’t want to wait for more than a month for the first sprout though. I know that these are a lot of requirments and I want to thank you in advance.

I know a fixed rate mortgage is better than a variable (9 times out of 10).
I have looked at some of the calculators online and am having trouble with the tax and insurance rates, as I will be a first time buyer. Any ideas where I can find that information?
Any general suggestions? We are working on paying off our credit cards, car, and student loans.. Saving as much as we can for a down payment..
just under a year ago, my credit score was in the mid to upper 600′s (depending on the credit company). I will be checking my credit again once it’s been a full year.
Also, just as a side note, I am not looking to e-mail someone to get approved for a loan. I am nowhere near that point yet, but thank you for any advice you can give.

Where do you go to look for your wedding package or crew?
E.g.: for the videographer, photographer, place where to have the ceremony, the flowers, limos, and soooo on….
I’ve looked online, but honestly I’ve found mostly crap. Do you know any specific site that you could recommend me? also, do you use the yellow pages? any specific wedding guide?…. any other source???
Btw, the wedding is going to be in South Florida… just in case you know something even more specific for this area.
Also, if you know of a place you could recommend me to have my sister’s wedding at, I would truly appreciate it. Anything works, now that we’ve just began planning everything and we still haven’t decided the style of the wedding…. same thing with photographers, videographers, flower people, etc.

Mine was 3-tier round white cake with a chocolate “branch” painted up the side and red cardinals perched on the branch. What did yours look like? Did it match your theme or colors?
