I am having a very small reception at my mother’s house during the middle of July. She said that we could plant some bulbs and have the flowers in bloom around that time. My wedding colors are pink and chocolate with a little bit of white, so those colors would be wonderful as I would really like to skip the florist. Thank you!

Planning wedding which will be in July of 2010. The theme is a bit of wildlife/nature/hunting, etc. I know not to do the hunting part too much or to over due the theme. I have asked this here before and gotten a couple of good ideas, and have also done searches myself and found very little, so I have decided to ask again and see if anyone has more decor, favor, colors, etc. ideas that they would like to share.

Oh geeze… I am not asking for your opinion of whether it sounds like a good idea, if I should do it or not, or your opinion on hunting. I am asking for tip and suggestions on decor and more; if you have nothing to offer with what brain you are hopefully supplied with, then please move on to waste someone elses time.

I am looking for something that is going to pop and maybe with some contrasts. I was thinking monochromatic reds, but i dont want it to look like Christmas and I was trying to stay away from pastels like cream and light pinks and oranges. Has anyone does this green with red??

My fiance and I are getting married in Columbus Ohio on July 17th, 2010. We are looking to have the wedding only for $2,000.00. We have the church and invitations already. The church and photographer included was $410.00. There will only be about 30 people there to share this moment with us. Do you have any idea how we can finish planning the wedding with only $1600? Also do you know anywhere in columbus where we can have a reception for 30 people that is cheap?
The church doesn’t have a reception hall unfortunately.

I want a romantic wedding but it’s going to be in the hottest part of the summer in Canada. My Fiance is US air force and wants to wear his uniform. My mom worries that it will look like a joke if we get married on July 4th with me in White, the groom and groomsmen in Dark Blue and my girls in Deep Red. Is a red, white and blue wedding a little too much for a 4th of july wedding? are those colors too dark for the summer anyway?
Any good ideas for an outdoor wedding reception in July?

It will be in a big backyard & we can do whatever we want as far as decorating & such. It will be in the evening so it’s not too hot for the guests.

my fiance and I started dating a week before the 4th of july…On the 4th I met his WHOLE immediate family and his immediate family is huge like 40 people just with parents siblings and neices and nephews….so fittingly we are getting married on July 3rd 2010 it is going to be in a park with a pavilion…I need ideas…food ideas, decoration ideas whatever you got!!! the only thing I know I want to do is I am mading the top cutting cake and a ton of cupcakes…I am having a kids party, where I am inviting the kids from my family and all my new neices and nephews to my moms and decorating cupcakes with myself and a few more adults…my sister in law my mother in law my sister and my mom
Yep my favorite holiday and his as well…his family always spends at least $1000 on fireworks every year…I am a bit of a pyro and I fit in perfectly with them that first year….its a very special holiday for us and it is perfect that we started dating and are getting married within a week of both of our favorite holiday (that was our 2nd date)

I’m having a july wedding, but I’m not sure what flowers to carry. I looked at flowers in season in the summer, and I can’t find many that I like. My colors are red & white (any other colors to use would also be appreciated…..I need help)

I’l like it to be romantic, but also include the holiday. To me, when I think of the 4th of July I think of families, food, fun, stars, sparklers….
Most of our family is traveling to be here.
The colors are not red white and blue, they are pink, white and silver.
We have children from previous relationships.

I started out wanting a black & white wedding with red accents. Then I saw a pretty dress in shadow (grey), and want to know if I could keep the black&white and add grey. Have the Bridesmaids in grey dresses with red flowers, Men in black suits with grey tie and vest with red bootniers, and then at the reception have the black and white damask with red accents…but how would I incorporate a little grey. would this work..or am I doing too much, and should I stick with the BM’s in black dresses??? ….
