Ten Points for best floral creativity!! Need ideas for fall wedding bouquet!?

I am getting married in November. My first thought was burnt orange calla lilies, bicolor roses, and perhaps some dahlias. The roses aren’t too pricey but the other two flowers are, and now the florist I have been speaking with is throwing some gawd awful ideas out (collared bouquets… and yellow flowers – bleh!)

I’d LOVE to use just the roses but she suggests I use a different flower (an orange lily) in the centerpeice (and to use a tall and not short one). Uhm my head is spinning.

What I need are creative ideas using the orange/yellow and red tipped roses and fillers for bouquets and centerpieces. It is a wedding of 70 and the reception will take place in a large home. Yes, big enough to hold 7-8 tables of 10!

Pictures are appreciated, ten points for best answer and/or advice!

What flowers to use for a fall black n white wedding?

I’m getting married next September, I’m having a black and white wedding. Wanted to have burgundy flowers for my bouquet and centers pieces. Was thinking about using Mums and Carnations together. We are pretty much paying for this weeding our self’s and have 17 tables. If any has suggestions that would be a big help.

What flowers are available for a fall wedding?

I have been preparing for a summer wedding all year but now I will not be able to have my wedding until late October, early November 2007 because I can’t get my fiance here until then because of visa technicalities. I was wondering what kinds of plants and flowers are available for that time of year? I know florists can get you just about anything but I am working with a smaller budget and was thinking about buying potted plants and flowers from a nursery to add greenery and color. The wedding will be outside so I need some plants to liven up our garden that will be mostly dormant by that time. This has been very last minute news and I have no idea what to do. Any suggestions?

What flowers/plants to plant between now and the fall in Wisconsin?

We just moved and there is no type of landscaping in the yard. I would like to plant some flowers or flowering shrubs in the front and back. The front gets quite a bit of sun and the back is pretty shady. I am in Kenosha, which is southeastern Wisconsin, in the MidWest. I really like hydrangeas and dahlias, but don’t know anything about planting, care, etc. Please any advice for an extreme novice on a budget. Thanks a lot!

Fall Wedding in Lake Tahoe?

Need help with some ideas for a fall wedding. We have set the date for Sept. 11th, 2010 in Lake Tahoe. Its only going to be 30 close family/friends. We are getting married lakeside at the Lakeshore Lodge and Spa. I need ideas for favors and a place to have a wedding dinner after the ceremony. The majority of the guests are adults from 20-60 yrs old. Also any good color combos? We are thinking of green and ivory or blue and ivory.

What color napkins and print should I get for a fall colored wedding?

The reception is going to have the basic fall colors such as browns, golds, dark oranges, greens, and silver mixed. There will be ivory table cloths and the brides cake will have a butter cream icing with silk fall leaves and acorns around.

I think a brown with either gold or teal writing would be good, but not sure. Any suggestions??
Does anyone know where I can see brown napkins with either gold or teal writing? The one link below was of the color sage..

Where can I find inexpensive fall centerpieces?

I am getting married in the fall and I need to find inexpensive centerpieces. I figured if I looked around now, I might find them cheaper. I don’t have a lot of money to spend on them. I can probably only spend up to $15 or $20 for each one, at the very most. I would prefer centerpieces that involve pumpkins somehow, but they don’t have to. Any help would be appreciated. What are good ideas for a wedding at a beach location in the fall?

I don’t want a beach theme, and am trying to incorporate the fall season, since it’s in November. Any ideas on decoration, favors, flowers, etc.
I don’t want a total beach theme, nor fall colors. I’m thinking pinks and browns, but not chocolate brown. A beach theme in November just doesn’t seem to fit, so any ideas? lighting, decor, flowers, favors, other ideas?

im looking for magnets. not cards… people misplace cards but a magnet goes on the fridge for a constent reminder. so i have tryed searching save the date magnets but so far nothing. where can i find a save the date magnet that i can put a picture on that has a fall/ autum theame??

Fall weddings without the typical fall theme?

I’ve been forced to push my wedding(which was supposed to be next month) back more than a year and now we’re hoping in the fall next year.

Anyway, I’ve been looking up fall wedding ideas online and they all seem to be the same…Pumpkins, orange yellow reds and leaves. How can I have a fall type wedding without the leaves and fall-ish colors. I’m using a dark purple as the main color and maybe a little red(just for my bouquet though) and silver. Ideas??
No black and dark purple seems too dark to me.
And actually I don’t have a lot of stuff yet, because we hit a financial road block months ago and we are just now figuring out finances, so we’re deciding to forward now with a nov 2010 wedding so we have time.
oh and the red would ONLY be on my bouquet because I love blood red roses and i can’t imagine my wedding without it! So that would be the only red.

Any cheap ideas for a wedding in Fall 2009?

My fiance and I are having our wedding in October 2009 and are using persimmon (redish/orange) and gold as our two main fall colors with hints of brown and greens. We want our wedding to be very fallish so we have already bought silk leaves (which will be used on each side of the aisle and on our tables at the reception) and have ideas of what we want for our centerpieces (floating candles). His aunt is making our wedding cake and my church is preparing the meal (traditional Thanksgiving meal) so these things are covered. Our favors…we have no idea what to do as we are having 150 guests to make favors for. We know we don’t want to use any food products so maybe candles or something. Anyways, if you have any simple but elegant ideas please let me know. I can’t wait to hear from all of you. P.S. Incase this matters my dress is ivory and my bridesmaids are persimmon. My fiance is wearing an ivory tux and his men are wearing brown tuxes.
