What should my hubby wear to an evening wedding?

My husband & I are attending my cousin’s wedding. The wedding is at an expensive resort in Laguna Beach (south of L.A.)… with the reception beginning around 7pm.
I know a tux is traditional attire, but I’m not sure if it is manditory. Considering the wedding is in August (very hot), and Southern California tends to be a little more on the casual side, I’m not sure what he should wear… tux, dark suit & tie, linen suit, trendy dress shirt & slacks???
I’m wearing a full-length, silk chiffon gown from BCBG… so obviously he isn’t going to dress too casual.
Any advice? Thanks!

My favorite colors together are black and white. I love elegance and plan to have an evening wedding. My dress would be white with a black sash, flowers to be red roses so would black bm dresses be to dull or look like a funeral?

I have to go to a Fourth of July wedding with my boyfriend. The ceremony is at 630 and the reception is immediately following. My boyfriend is in the wedding and is wearing a black tux with a red tie. I have no idea what type of dress to wear and if I should match him. Any ideas?
I have an almost knee length party dress thats a nice green with white polka dots and a dark brown sash. (It may sound a little juvenile but I’m only 18). I was thinking of wearing that. Appropriate?

My fiance and I both love black, so we wanted to have a semi-formal wedding with the colors being black, white and red. I just want to make sure that its not uncommon to go against the normal burnt orange and brown fall colors.

I found a perfect classy red dress for a wedding I’m attending. Is it still not appropriate if a girl wears red to a wedding? Here’s the best part its my boyfriend (of 14 yrs.) sister who is getting married. My boyfriend is the Best Man and his ex-wife is the Maid of Honor. (No they are not walking down the aisle together and they are cordial w/each other) I’m kinda sticking out here like a sore thumb anyway but the dress looks awesome on me and I almost want to make a point. Givem’ something to talk about. Plus the bridesmaids dresses are like a cranberry/red color. Am I making a point or just making an &%$ out of myself?

Hi ladies w/ good fashion sense, would a dark red, knee length dress be suitable and ok for an August wedding? I am just attending it w/ my boyfriend, I really don’t know who the bride is groom is.
I just wanted to make sure red would be ok for summer. I know red is usually good for the holiday season, but I’ve seen alot of bright colors for the summer at the stores.

I started out wanting a black & white wedding with red accents. Then I saw a pretty dress in shadow (grey), and want to know if I could keep the black&white and add grey. Have the Bridesmaids in grey dresses with red flowers, Men in black suits with grey tie and vest with red bootniers, and then at the reception have the black and white damask with red accents…but how would I incorporate a little grey. would this work..or am I doing too much, and should I stick with the BM’s in black dresses??? ….
