I’m wearing a red strapless cotton dress to a wedding this weekend. I can’t decide on shoes, what color looks best with red? I never wear red and I hate flashy outfits but it is a cotton dress so it isn’t over the top, think jcrew-ish. Gold sandals maybe? I can’t decide and I need help!!!

I’m getting married and my wedding dress is white with red details, but I don’t plan to wear it through the entire reception. So I’m trying to find a white dress thats about tea length, with some red detailing or trim. I’ve done searches and haven’t found much. Anyone know any places I can look?

A few people have told me that red might “outshine” the bride on her wedding day (highly doubtful because the bride is beautiful!). I will wear minimum accessories. It is an afternoon semi-formal occasion followed by dinner and dance. Also, I plan to wear high heeled gray snake skin shoes.

My cousin is getting married in November and on their bridal shower invitation it said, “Semi-formal, No black or red clothing please.” I was just like, ” What the F***?” Isn’t black formal? And the main color of the wedding red. I don’t think that’s right. No one in my family thinks it’s right. What is the best thing to solve this?

I absolutely adored Lisa’s (the lady with the long red hair from Essex/London) wedding day look (although the dress was a bit too low-cut for my taste) and was hoping that someone might know where the dress is from? I read somewhere that white doesn’t look so nice. Does anyone have a picture of someone in an ivory dress with white flowers? My other colors will be a pale yellow and a nice purple. Not too dark but not pale either. Wedding is in July. Thanks!
