My fiance and I are planning a wedding for April 17, 2010. We were both raised Methodist and would like to be married in a Methodist church. The church I went to for 8 years is having a rummage sale and can’t change the date.
My fiance and I live in Dayton for the time being (job opportunities), so I’m trying to plan this somewhat long distance. We’ve booked the reception site, which we LOVE. But now, we can’t book a Methodist church. They say that we have to be members, or just a flat out NO. What happened to Christians being open and understanding, especially to ones own denomination? The only churches open in the Columbus area range from $1200 – 4000. I don’t know if you been to a Methodist church wedding, but it’s like a 20 minute deal. AND it’s April, in Ohio. It’s not like we can really plan an outdoor wedding. Our reception place is too small for a ceremony. Does anyone have any other ideas for a ceremony?

What’s in style for Summer 2010?
I am going to a wedding in July 2010 and Im wonder what colours and styles of dresses etc. will be in fashion at the time! I plan on buying my dress online and am planning on picking one very soon! but have no idea where to start! It’s my brothers wedding so I really want to look my best in photo’s and things!

My fiance of 3 years and I were planning a wedding in 2010.?
We recently decided after months of talking about it that we want to have a small wedding next month. We told our families and everyone was very supportive. Well his mom called him yesterday and had a long conversation with him saying it was an aweful idea and no one on either side supported our decision. We have always wanted a summer wedding and they all knew this. We have been together for 8 years and wanted to get married on our anniversary. Now because of all this doubt e thinks we should postpone the wedding after paying for everything. He is just thinking a few months maybe a November wedding but since the beginning we always wanted a summer wedding. I am feeling really hurt right now and don’t know what to do. I don’t know why he let everyone come between us. He says he would marry me anytime but he doesnt want everyone to feel awkward to use his mother’s terminology.
I have told him. Thats when he said that he would marry me tomorrow if he had the choice. Well he does have the choice but lets his mom get involved.

It is not a shotgun it was about 6 months of planning that they were not a part of. And as I said before everything is paid off. We paid cash for everything which makes it tough because moving it would cause us to lose our deposits. It was only a small family event with a jp to begin with until his mom decided we had to invite all nine of her siblings and all 27 of his cousins. Then she pulled this on us.

Ok me and my fiance are wanting to get married here in just a few weeks from now. woudl it be stupid if we just went and got married at like the courthouse and then had a real wedding in march of 2010? I know we cant get it all completely succesfully planned out in just a few weeks. We have already bought some things for our actual wedding. and we are wanting to see if what we are wanting to do is a stupid idea or not. There is many good things about if we get married now. Like the fact that my mother will no longer be able to control my life at all with my money or anything. Thats not our actual reason for wanting to do this. Need Help Planning My October 2010 Wedding?
Hello, My boyfriend and I are now engaged. 
I am so happy We don’t have a lot of money to spend on our wedding he is a college student and I am starting college next fall. And money at my parents house is tight. We talked about it last night and he loves the idea of getting married on my birthday, also! So basically we got 10 1/2 months till the wedding, if everything goes as planned. When should I tell my mom and dad we are engaged? They love him like a son, so I know they wont be disappointed. Is their anyways or tricks to make a wedding cheaper? All I want is me in a white dress and him in a tux, I will be just happy with that Also here is some other information, the colors I wanted were red and pink.
Should my fiance and I tell my parents together that we are engaged or should I just tell them by myself?
My wedding is Labor Day weekend 2010 and I need a color scheme!?
When I was first asked what colors I wanted for my wedding, I initially was thinking blue (pool blue maybe or possibly even more of an aqua) accented with shades of yellow. However, my fiance’s brother is getting married in May 2010 and their colors are blue and yellow. So I’m a little upset because they already took our wedding date, honeymoon location, and now colors! I would just stick with my initial color choices, but I don’t want to look like a copycat even though I wasn’t trying to copy them.
Basically, I need other color options. I’m thinking a dark red might be good, but everyone seems to do red and quite honestly, I don’t even like red all that much. I would do pink/purple except the boys wouldn’t appreciate wearing those colors to match the bridesmaids.
So I really don’t know what to do.. If anyone could give me some ideas and possibly pictures to go along with them, I would REALLY appreciate it! Thanks!

May 2010 Wedding! Small, Simple, Affordable and Elegant!?
I am looking to get married next may…I am clear out of ideas! Like I have a small fam. and so does he. Not everyoe gets along so I wanted to try and keep it small, simple, affordable and elegant! But the most important part is rememorable! He would love for us to get married where it’s just he and I along with our bestfriends(husband and wife) Please help! I want to accomodate about 40 ppl if that! We live in Fort Mill and we have a club house. My first thought was backyard ceremony and clubhouse reception! Lol! I’m just frazzled. I have everything else lined up and ready to go. I know I have a year…but I wanted everything out the way and worry free! The location/venue is the main thing!
