I have been looking for a while for a gorgeous dress online, but they all seem to run for thousands of dollars. So I need some help..does anyone know some websites with wedding dresses?

i asked this in weddings and someone told me i should ask here as well so here goes

ever since we got engaged we’ve been talking of doing japanese irises for the wedding. my mom has been on my back about it ever since. she swears that they will look bad because they dont last long, but i know if we get them from a florist then she will most likely get them in bud form and then it will be about 2 days to bloom and will last about 3-4 days before wilting (we bought some from a florist for valentines and thats how we got them, so i’d assume the professionals would get the same).

anywho, do you think this will be an issue? our wedding is may 2, so they would be in season. my dress is accented with victorian lilac and the bridesmaids will be in that color as well (maybe a shade lighter, we havent decided yet). i REALLY wanted irises but now i’m terrified i’ll have dead flowers.

if not, are there other dainty purple flowers like that? we figured we’d pair them with white roses

I am getting married in September and my wedding is outside. My colors are cranberry and silver. I am struggling very much with the idea of favors. I swear I have looked at everything and have found nothing. I am not very creative, but I know that I want to have something different from my wedding. I am not too picky, just want something different. Any ideas?

I know that white is unacceptable, but what about black or red? People wear black everywhere nowadays but it doesn’t seem to be the best color for a wedding. I used to think that red was a nice color to wear to a wedding, but some people tell me that it’s too “eye catching” and that it takes attention away from the bride. This seems odd to me because I’ve been to many weddings where the bridesmaids wore bright red dresses.

My florist just sent me this quote for my October 2009 wedding. Both of my SIL’s got married in San Francisco and they think this is a reasonable deal based on what they paid for flowers in the Bay Area. But, I am getting married in Arkansas and the typical wedding is MUCH less than in the Bay Area. So, I just wanted to see what people thought about this estimate.

1 bridal bouquet
5 bridesmaids’ bouquets
1 groom boutonnieres
7 groomsmen/other boutonnieres
2 corsages
10 center pieces

Grand total will be around $750.

Flowers included in the quote are ranunculus, chocolate cosmos, hypericum berries, red Asiatic lilies, pincushion protea, roses, spray mums, wheat, standard sunflowers, and mini red/orange sunflowers.

My fiancee just got the job of his dreams, so we decided to get married in Nov. There is little time so I am trying to get all of the suggestions I can. I wont be an expensive wedding. I am registered on theknot.com, but I need some suggestions about flowers, centerpeices, ceremony decoration, and neat little things like that. I reallllllly love flowers but I am not sure what kind to use in the fall, and I really dont want leaves.
